Janet Marie has partnered with brands, non-profits, and personalities to devise initiatives and campaigns that exceed client expectations, consistently producing higher engagement, increasing sales and providing relevance within the market. She has 10+ years of experience leading marketing teams, advising C-suite executives, creating compelling content, and developing and implementing successful communications and marketing strategies.
While her B.A. is in Public Relations, Janet Marie was originally accepted into Auburn University after applying to their competitive Interior Design program. She went on to earn a Master of Science in Tourism Management, an R1 considered to be in the top bracket internationally, and published a graduate thesis focusing on regional cultural festivals.
Janet Marie spent the beginning of her career at Serenbe where she put the breadth of her education and experience into practice, taking a fast-growing community and developed a cohesive branding strategy and new marketing collateral to build a brand and voice that spoke to visitors and potential homebuyers. She planned and coordinated large events that required community involvement, including sponsoring businesses and city/state leadership. Serenbe touches a vast range of industries including real estate and development, architecture and interior design, hospitality, agriculture, and environmental causes, making Janet Marie particularly adept at communicating within those topics. She also developed a passion for City Planning, leading to involvement in local government advocating for more environmentally-conscious and people-friendly practices.
